Navigating Academia as a Minority Scholar

On December 2, 2018, AAAL GSC held our second webinar: Navigating Academia as a Minority Scholar. María Ruiz-Martínez from the University of Colorado Boulder was the moderator of the webinar. 

 

Three scholars of color in the applied linguistics field joined the webinar as panelists: Dr. Hatime Çiftçi (Bahçeşehir University), Dr. Usree Bhattacharya (University of Georgia), and Dr. Nelson Flores (University of Pennsylvania). The panelists shared their lived experiences and provided tips for navigating academia as scholars of color.
